Save the forests
Save the forests.
There is so much on social media at the moment about ways to save the forests/woodland for future generations. It is such a shame that it has got to this position where nature is being forgotten about. There is a fantastic article on the Countryfile website which explains about the benefits of forest bathing and how important it is to regain our connection to nature. What was clearly expressed by them, was that studies show that if people have an empathy for an environment by visiting and experiencing it, rather than reading about it, then they are more likely to want to preserve it. What better reason is there to get outside forest bathing!
The trouble is that people have lost connection with nature. They have very busy lives. Teenagers now would rather be on their phones, gaming consoles or computers than taking a walk in the woods. Yet, it would benefit them greatly if they did. It is often the easy option to just let them carry on, so that you have an easy life. You might be busy shopping, exercising or getting jobs completed. Nature and spending time in it has definitely taken a back seat. Yet, now is the time to start to take notice, before it is too late and the natural environments are gone for ever. It is a win-win situation both for yourself and for the forests.
